Road to NY/NJ: The Semi-final Collision Course
If both teams win their groups, they are projected to meet in a MetLife Semi-final.
The bracket is set for a massive European collision. If France tops Group I and England tops Group L, the paths converge on a July 15 Semi-final at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford. Picture 82,500 people split 50-50 between red, white, and blue on both sides. For most of those fans, it will be the most significant sporting event of their lifetimes.
However, one slip changes everything. If England finishes 2nd in Group L, they likely walk into the Brazil-Argentina side of the bracket. If France finishes 2nd in Group I, they could face a seeded giant as early as the Round of 16. June is about securing the 'Safe Path' to the July 15 date both managers are already circling.
